Rachel's Man Mood

Rachel never felt the punch that made her sleep. A wash of warm blackness came over her from nowhere and Rachel lay on her back., gloves by her head, a faint smile on her face. The pain of the blows Kaylee had been landing was gone.
Peter, Rachel's trainer at the Amazonia Boxing Club, leaned on the ropes and let his head hang down in exasperation. "I don't care to watch," Peter told his associate, Kevin.
"Yeah, I know," the younger man replied.
"She's not even stirring?" Peter asked, the words bouncing off his chest before reaching Kevin.
"Not even a tiny bit."
Kevin concealed his reaction to Rachel's being knocked out carefully. He not expected the recent Blake Mitchell University graduate to be sent to Dreamland, but he wanted it.
From the moment Peter introduced the young woman as their latest pupil, Kevin wanted to have sex with her. Desire intensified seeing Rachel flat out.
When Emma the Ref  yelled "TEN!" both men moved through the ropes to the knocked out boxer. Peter checked Rachel's eyes ("Boiled eggs, she's out!") and then her pulse ("Pulse is good, help me sit her up.)
"Rachel! Rachel!" said Peter, gently slapping the girl's cheeks as Kevin broke a capsule of smelling salts under Rachel's nose.
Through the red velvet curtain of sleep, Rachel could feel hands touching her.
"Drew....?" fell from her mouth even though her eyes were shut. Rachel then spluttered and her eyes went wide.
"Drew? Where?....Peter, what happened...?"
Her eyes struggled to focus on the two men at her side.
"You were knocked out, Rach." Peter explained.
"Sorry about that, honey." Kaylee apologized as she leaned in between the trainers. "I didn't mean to clobber you so hard."
"It's okay," Rachel said. Her eyes went glassy and again the velvet curtain crashed down.

Rachel was seated in a folding chair in her corner.
"It's okay..." she repeated, aimlessly. Peter probed Rachel's eyes with the beam of a small flash light.
"Had your bell rung." was his judgment.
"Come on, Rach," Kaylee said, wrapping her arms around the slightly dazed boxer. "Let's go to the recovery room."
"Who's Drew?" Kevin asked Peter when the women were gone. "Rach said 'Drew' when she first came to."
"Drew is her girlfriend."
"Oh.."
Peter understood Kevin's tone perfectly. "Don't bother...I know Rach is cute as hell with that chest and ass and I know you have it for brown skinned girls, I'm not blind. But she's devoted to Drew."
"Got it."
The two trainers began collecting the equipment from the match. "Try Kaylee," Peter advised. "She's switched to her 'man mood' as they say."
Kevin nodded in agreement.

Just a week earlier, Kaylee ended her relationship with Anita because she had, as Peter said, phased into a "man mood." Kevin could see she was eager and the two spent the night at Kevin's place.
He left Kaylee very satisfied, but not in love. A few more fucks should do it, Kaylee decided as Kevin made eggs and toast for breakfast.

Kevin found Rachel working out on a heavy bag at the Amazonia Boxing Club. At first the newbie fighter didn't see him, so fixed were her eyes on the bag.
"Oh hi, Kevin, how are you?" she asked stepping back to catch her breath.
"Okay, remember you have a sparring session tomorrow."
"I know, after work." Rachel answered, her eyes wide when she looked at Kevin. "How's it with Kaylee?"
Kevin shifted uncomfortably, looking at his sneakers. "Not so good."
"Why, what happened?"
"Nothing I'm not used to...no tragedy…"
"Tell me!"
"Kaylee...she turned me down..."
"No! Why?" Rachel's expression melted with disappointment for her friend.
"Another guy. You know, it happens." Kevin was forlorn. "I don't think I'll ever find the right girl. I'm not the type."
"Sure you are! You're a good looking guy and you're a honest person. Women like you."
"I don't think so," he responded, glumly.
"Hey, when I'm done here, I'll buy you a coffee and we can talk!"

Kevin was not the first man  Rachel had been with, but he was the first she completely enjoyed.
"That Kaylee is a fool!" Rachel said the next morning. She sipped at her coffee as she lay beside Kevin. Rachel was pleasantly sleepy.
"You're not just saying that?" he asked.
"No! Last night was great!"
"It sure was!" Kevin kissed Rachel.

Kevin was alone in his apartment when someone knocked on the door.  He answered it, slightly confused. Rachel wasn't expected until tomorrow evening. Standing in the doorway was a blond amazon.
Kevin knew who this was without asking.
"Kevin Savage?" asked the amazon.
"Oh fuck...!"
"That's right, horn dog!"
All Kevin saw was a fist sail at him and then total blackness.

Pain in his face was the first sensation Kevin felt when he woke, seated on the living room couch. The amazon was seated in a chair she had placed in front of him.
"You in a lot of pain, asshole?"
"Drew?" was all Kevin could say.
"Excellent! You're not half as stupid as you look." Drew sat back in the chair. "Now, you told my Rachel some lies, manipulated her into getting on her back for you. How cruel Kaylee broke your heart."
Kevin sat up on the couch alarmed, looking frantically for an escape.
"I spoke to 'cruel Kaylee' and turns out she fucked you every night for a week! But you had to take advantage of my Rachel."
"I never said that to her...!" pleaded Kevin.
"Learning to fight means a great deal to Rachel. When she heard that 'cruel Kaylee' had hurt one of her mentors, she couldn't stop talking about it. That's how I knew you were fucking her!"
Drew immediately hauled Kevin to his feet and shoved him against the apartment wall. A hard right made Kevin slump.
"This won't take any time at all." Drew observed, calmly. Five punches detonated on Kevin before he went out for the night.
